Georgia football faces off against an old foe on Monday in the National Championship game in Indianapolis. Given that it has only been a few short weeks since the two teams played, fans could be forgiven that they know everything about the Crimson Tide.

While there may still be some despondency hanging around post the defeat in the Mercedes Benz Stadium Atlanta, maybe there are some chinks in the Crimson Tide armor? Just maybe.

Leaving no stone unturned, here are five things that Georgia football fans should know or watch out for on Monday.

The Tide has had the Dawgs’ number for the past seven straight games and were even the team who stole the Dawgs’ last chance at a national championship.

Sure with these two recently playing, fans could still remember everything they need to know about Alabama, but it’s important to refresh because a few things have changed. Some have injuries and won’t play in the title game, while others are healthy and will be ready to be there for the Tide.

We know the Tide has an explosive offense and a defense that matches well with the Dawgs. Georgia does have the better overall coaching staff, so they’ve got that going for them, but it’s time to stop letting Alabama dictate everything. The Dawgs need to finally fight back and force the Tide to loosen up on that chokehold.

This season had proven that so many programs have been able to end droughts and beat opponents they haven’t been able to in a while, including Alabama when Texas A&M delivered their only loss.

These five things are great talking points ahead of the game and to discuss with your fellow Dawg fans in the stadium throughout the day on Monday.
