Alabama is a one-loss team but could it have been more?

When Alabama lost to Texas A&M by a walk-off field goal in College Station, it wasn’t the only time the Crimson Tide had a few other close calls. They only beat the Gators by two points. After falling to the Aggies, Alabama had narrow misses against LSU and then had to play overtime to beat Auburn in the Iron Bowl.

On a positive note, this Alabama team knows how to grind to get a result. On a negative note, many will say that with a different wind blowing, this one-loss team could be 10-4 rather than 13-1.

Should this give Georgia football fans cause for confidence? Well, yes, it should. It is only in the Iron Bowl and the SEC Championship game that the sleeping giant has awoken. Of course, on the flip side, great title-winning teams peak at the right time.

The question ahead of the national championship game is — is this team peaking in its performance at the right time, or will they fall back into old habits and open the door for Georgia?

Head coach Nick Saban has built a winning team from a very young side, which bodes well for Alabama fans for years to come. It also means that Saban and the Crimson Tide fans have to endure inconsistency and mistakes in the interim. Which will we see in Lucas Oli Stadium on Monday?
