Georgia football limits Alabama to under 400 total yards
In the last two games against Alabama, Georgia football has given up 564 yards in 2020 and 536 total offensive yards this year. The defense also gave up 41 points both times.
So in total, the Dawgs’ defense allowed 1,100 yards and 82 points to the Tide in the last two meetings.
How would those games have gone if the Dawgs could have held the Tide to fewer points or yardage?
Georgia’s defense must be ready to take this group on and cause as much havoc as possible.
They’ve done it 13 of the 14 games this year, yet the one time they didn’t, it was to Alabama.
Georgia’s defense will give Bryce Young and that offense a run for their money. They know what went wrong back in December and have a chance to catch the Tide a month later.
Head coach Kirby Smart wants to beat Alabama badly, so he will have Dan Lanning, Glenn Schumann, and Will Muschamp on the same page and putting together their best game plan yet.
Georgia will find a way to enforce its will on the Tide and limit them where they need to. Avoid explosive plays and stop the run like they have all year, and it’s going to be a long day for Alabama. Those explosive plays will be key. Limit those, and the yardage won’t rack up nearly as quickly.
The Dawgs can make this happen, and they just have to play their football game and fulfill their destiny.
