Georgia football has done a great job at keeping to itself while preparing for tomorrow’s national championship. Meanwhile, the Alabama Crimson Tide continues to tell the media they feel disrespected about being underdogs and how they will use that to win on Monday.

In all honesty, why do the defending national championship winners need that much motivation? Why can they not put their head down and just work like the Alabama teams before them?

Heck, head coach Nick Saban knows how to win a national title over Georgia. Why does he need to use a false narrative to make themselves feel better? They don’t, but here they are doing so, and it’s honestly lazy motivation tactics.

Georgia football keeps its head down as preparations continue for Monday’s national title game.

Now, starting quarterback Bryce Young has been a typical Alabama player who respects Georgia, but some of the other guys that feel disrespected should know better by now.

I’m not saying it’s lazy to use the noise as motivation because it’s not. Teams use this kind of strategy all the time. It’s lazy because they’re Alabama, and they know how to win without using noise as motivation. Isn’t Nick Saban the one that talks about rat poison and how they need to shut it out?

After the SEC Championship game, when he thanked the media for all that rat poison, it was evident Saban used it to fire up his team. Does great Alabama need help to get excited about a game?

That trait doesn’t seem like a typical Crimson Tide one. Instead, it looks like something Georgia or others would use in the past when going up against Alabama.

All teams need motivation, but Alabama has won seven national titles under Saban — if anyone knows how to get his team ready, it’s the modern-day Bear Bryant.

No one has disrespected Alabama. Most media people look at what they did to Georgia in December and think it will happen again, so where is this disrespect coming from, and why are they making it a point to make it their motivation?

It seems like a ploy or something because we all know Alabama isn’t the underdog in this fight, and Saban can say what he wants about Georgia — he just wants them to get big-headed about him thinking they are good.

Instead, it doesn’t seem like the Dawgs are buying into it at all. They are putting their heads down and just preparing for all possibilities. When Georgia players talk to the media, it’s very business-like and they aren’t going to buy into anything except what they’re preparing to do on Monday.

They know this is the game that will define their legacy and nothing motivates them more.

Georgia should do that because they got their tails handed to them on Dec. 4 when they played Alabama last, so until they beat them, nothing anyone says should be listened to by the Dawgs.

Georgia needs to stay humble, keep fighting, and know they’ve done the right things to prepare for this game.
