Georgia football is your 2022 College Football Playoff national champion, and man, that sounds so good to say.
The last time the Dawgs won this hallowed title was in 1980, but now it’s 2022, and it’s still really surreal to discuss.
Twitter went crazy after the Dawgs won, as they should have, and while these aren’t all the ones out there, we found some of our favorite tweets celebrating the big win.
Georgia football fans put together some of the best Twitter reactions, and finally, it’s for a national championship.
Starting quarterback Stetson Bennett silenced the haters, and he has gotten a ton of love on Twitter after the game. No one should have an issue with him because he did everything the haters said he couldn’t. He is the first former walk-on quarterback to win a national championship, so take that in and appreciate him.
After he coughed up the ball late in the game, no one knew how it would end, but thankfully the Dawgs finally finished one of these big matchups against Alabama.
He wouldn’t let Alabama beat him again, and Bennett rose to the occasion. Plus, the run game arrived at the same time, which made the offense strong enough to march down the field and score.
Then Kelee Ringo picked off Bryce Young and ran it back for a pick-six, sealing the deal and sending Dawg nation into cardiac arrest. There will be some property destroyed all across Georgia and in Indianapolis.
The Dawgs finally did it, and nothing was going to stop them. Georgia’s defense showed up and showed out. Man, it’s so surreal to think the Dawgs are national champions, and they did it by beating Alabama.
Check out these great tweets we found because they should give you all the feelings.

Some Georgia fans have never seen a national championship. Others have waited four decades. Again these aren’t all the ones we found, but we love these because it shows the love from the Atlanta Braves, former Dawgs, and some excited fans.
There are plenty more on Twitter, and we wish we could put them all here, but enjoy these because they all should make you smile. That mailman graphic is killer and probably our favorite, but the celebration videos are pretty incredible too.
These players deserve all this love and then some. Georgia fulfilled their destiny and will leave a legacy. Not many can say they did. The Dawgs got revenge for the 2018 group who fell short in overtime, and it was awesome seeing some of those familiar faces on the sidelines taking it all in on Monday night.
This national championship was long overdue for the Dawgs, making it that much sweeter. Georgia has finally done it, folks, and it’s time we all celebrate.
