Georgia football: 3 players who must make their decision for next year
Underclassmen Georgia football players that are trying to decide NFL or one more year have until the end of Jan. 17 to make their choice.
A few juniors have yet to decide, so Monday could be a busy day for those following Georgia.
The Dawgs are looking for guys who want to stay and keep this success going on both sides of the ball. While Georgia continues to reload through recruiting, if they can get veterans to stay, it only helps them.
Georgia football is waiting on the decision from these three players on what their next step will be.
The Dawgs have seen Nakobe Dean, Zamir White, Lewis Cine, George Pickens, and Travon Walker decide to leave early for the draft, but all five of those guys are ready for the next level. Some of Georgia’s juniors aren’t quite ready, and staying another year will only benefit them.
We talked about three guys Georgia football needs to keep around for one more year, and among those was one junior. The other two could become super seniors, but for sure, all of them could use one more year to develop and increase their stock.
Jan. 17 is their final day to let the draft know if they’re declaring, so I guess they don’t have to announce publicly, but they usually do.
Among those who haven’t made their decision yet, some could transfer too, so this list includes those who need to make their NFL decision or whether or not they’ll be in Athens next season. There are 22 juniors on the team, and six already made their choice, as Jaylen Johnson is in the transfer portal, so there is only a handful that could make it in the draft left to decide.
Here are three juniors that Georgia football is patiently waiting to hear from about their decision.
