Georgia football OT, Amarius Mims

Another unlikely name to transfer, but one Georgia football needs to make sure they are happy is Amarius Mims. The offensive tackle got a little playing time this year, but as one of the biggest names out of high school, Georgia needs to make sure they are using him in the right ways.

If he isn’t ready to start, that is one thing, but Georgia will need to fill a few holes on the line after losing Justin Shaffer and Jamaree Salyer this year to the NFL Draft. Mims has this massive size to him and showed a lot of promise out of high school.

However, starting on the offensive line straight out of high school is extremely hard to do, especially when there are NFL-bound players in front of you.

Georgia’s staff needs to sit down with Mims and communicate with him about what he needs to keep doing to break that starting lineup. Mims is a massive specimen, so if he continues to work hard, then he should break into that rotation.

The Dawgs need all the depth they can get up front, so losing Mims cannot be an option because they need the size up there as well.
