822. . . . Missouri . 13. player

Georgia football took on Missouri at home for the first November game of the season and dominated the Tigers from the East 43-6. This win put the Dawgs at 9-0 on the season and one win away from sweeping their conference opponents, which puts this win in the No. 13 slot.

Much like the Charleston Southern game, this was a matchup most people felt like Georgia would win. At this point in the season, Georgia just beat Florida in Jacksonville and was two games away from officially being SEC East champs.

The Dawgs couldn’t overlook the Tigers, and they didn’t. Missouri wasn’t going to make it easy, as they came out, drove down the field on Georgia’s stout defense, and kicked a 33-yard field goal.

Georgia’s defense quickly woke up and only allowed the Tigers to kick one more field goal during the fourth quarter. This game wasn’t the best outing from the Dawgs’ defense as they gave up 121 yards on the ground and 152 through the air, but they kept them from scoring touchdowns, so it was still a strong performance.

The Dawgs’ offense had a big day as they amassed 505 total offensive yards, averaging an impressive eight yards a play. Starting quarterback Stetson Bennett had one of his best outings as he went 13-of-19 for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

It was an overall solid team win from the Dawgs, and since it was against an SEC foe, it ranks above the Charleston Southern win. This matchup could have been a trap game for Georgia, but instead, they shut down another offense and scored at will.

While Missouri isn’t the most formidable opponent to get through six straight SEC games without a hiccup, the Tigers could have taken advantage of a tired Georgia team, but instead, the Dawgs shut it down and did their job.
