When Georgia football went to Atlanta and blanked their in-state rival Georgia Tech 45-0, it was a good feeling because it resulted in the Dawgs going 12-0 for the first time since the 1980 team did it. This victory lands at No. 11 because it was the third shutout for the Dawgs’ defense.

Another game that would have usually proven harder than it should be for the Dawgs, Georgia went into Bobby Dodd Stadium, painted it red, and embarrassed the Yellow Jackets in their city.

Since the Dawgs didn’t get to play Georgia Tech in 2020 due to COVID-19 restricting college football to conference games only, Georgia wanted to make sure the Yellow Jackets remembered who runs the state and top Dawg.

This victory marked the 11th straight win by 17 or more points and gave Georgia a perfect regular-season record with their eyes set on Mercedes Benz Stadium for the SEC Championship game.

Georgia needed to put this game away quickly so some of the starting playmakers could heal and rest up for the following week. Those playmakers got the rest they required between the Tech game and Charleston Southern.

The Dawgs held Georgia Tech to 73 rush yards and 171 through the air, even with some guys not playing their usual snaps.

Georgia’s offense put on a show averaging 9.1 yards a play and scoring six touchdowns. Another game that the Dawgs were supposed to win, and they did. Though it was rivalry week, anything could have happened, but instead, their dominance continued.
