Vanderbilt. 9. player. 887. . .

Georgia football traveled to Nashville and turned Vanderbilt’s stadium into Sanford North. With home-field advantage, the Dawgs defeated the Commodores 62-0, giving them their first shutout of the season.

This game lands at the No. 9 spot on this list for scoring 62 points and showing no mercy while also marking the largest margin of victory in this series history began in 1893.

A week after beating South Carolina, Georgia hit the road for a trip to Nashville, and once again, Dawg Nation painted that city red. The Dawgs have a fanbase willing to travel, and at this point, Nashville might as well be another Athens.

Georgia was on a mission, and nothing Vanderbilt did work. The Dawgs’ defense held the Commodores to just four first downs all game, 53 rushing yards and 24 passing yards. Vanderbilt finished the game with 77 yards of total offensive yards, as they averaged 1.7 yards per play and converted just 2-of-13 third downs.

A massacre in Nashville and Georgia bullied the Commodores all afternoon. After a dominating win over South Carolina, this victory gave fans another sign that this team wasn’t like any other they had seen.

When a team puts up 62 points and doesn’t let an opponent do anything, it deserves to be in the top-10 of that season’s victories.
