20. Brock Bowers 77-yard touchdown against Georgia Tech

There weren’t many moments during this 2021 season that didn’t involve true-freshman Brock Bowers and an explosive play. Whether it was running an end-around for a touchdown, catching a ball for a score or laying a good block, he did it all and impressed us in the process.

His first moment on this list came toward the end of the season against Georgia Tech, the Dawgs’ in-state rivals. Bowers caught a 77-yard touchdown pass that put the Dawgs up 24-0 before halftime.

Throughout the season, Bowers had made big play after big play, but that 77-yarder not only featured a great catch but him outrunning the entire Georgia Tech defense.

The score wasn’t his only one of the day either, as he caught the next touchdown in the third quarter with a nine-yard grab that put the Dawgs up 31-0.

However, that first score was explosive, and it demoralized Georgia Tech in the best way possible. After that touchdown, the Yellow Jackets knew it would be a long afternoon, and they should just hold on for the ride.

The Yellow Jackets wouldn’t score against the Dawgs, giving Georgia’s defense their third shutout, but the true freshman shined brightest with another 100-yard game on three catches.

It was a brilliant moment in the Dawgs’ 12th victory that fans and Tech will remember for a long time.
