14. Brock Bowers’ 89-yard touchdown against UAB

One of the biggest weapons on this Georgia football team is Brock Bowers and his second moment on this list came in Week 2 against UAB.

We mentioned earlier that Stetson Bennett had an incredible day through the air, and two of the five touchdowns were to Bowers.

However, his first one made the cut on our top moments’ list. That 89-yard touchdown wasn’t just about the incredible catch he made, but the fact that Bowers outran an entire secondary to score.

He isn’t like most tight ends that have some speed. No, Bowers is extremely quick, and that speed is a weapon for him.

To play defensive back in college football, regardless of division, you have to be fast, so for a freshman to outrun a whole unit was the moment Georgia fans realized how good this kid could be.

Bowers also put faith back into the fans’ minds about tight ends and Georgia football with this catch. He finished as the top receiver, so no more Georgia doesn’t use tight ends argument — they do, and Bowers proves it.

That first touchdown will be one that fans remember for a long time because it’s not every day you see a tight end with that kind of talent.

The last one with that level of ability went to Florida, so the fact that Georgia has the latest one should scare every opponent on the schedule moving forward.

It didn’t matter who the Dawgs played, and no one could find an answer for Bowers — just think about how much better he will be in 2022.
