1. Karl Scott

The top name that Georgia football should reach out to and bring back into college football is Minnesota Vikings secondary coach Karl Scott.

As someone who coached with head coach Nick Saban at Alabama and one point ranked as the No.1 recruiter in the country, Scott is the perfect fit.

He knows the drill, knows how championship programs run, and is one bad man when it comes to development.

Scott left Alabama last February to take the defensive backs coaching job with the Vikings. He was at Alabama for three seasons, including getting Trevon Diggs and Patrick Surtain into the NFL.

He was a key to the successful secondary Alabama had in 2020 and could do the same for Georgia.

Scott’s recruiting background is also incredible. He is undoubtedly someone who can convince a dog that it’s a cat without flexing. He ranked as the 247Sports No.1 2020 recruiter, and rightfully so with some of the names he got to Alabama and the flips he made happen.

It didn’t matter the state, where they were committed, or anything in between. If Alabama needed them, Scott found a way to get them.

He is the one who signed Kool-Aid McKinstry, Drew Sanders, Patrick Surtain, Jordan Battle — just in the 2020 class alone.

Scott needs to be the top priority for Georgia, but the other two names on this list shouldn’t be overlooked either because they could be real considerations. If the Dawgs could have anyone, Scott would be the ideal choice, and it would be a real moment for them to bring Scott out of the NFL to coach at Georgia and not Alabama.
