Georgia football sits on top of college football once again as the Dawgs saw the most players invited to this year’s NFL Combine with 14, which is a program record. This group of players keeps making history, and we’re here for it.

That number could have likely been 15 if John Fitzpatrick didn’t have surgery on his foot.

Regardless, this group will have the opportunity to go through the drills and impress the NFL scouts. Working out in the NFL Combine could even help some of the Dawg players and potentially hurt them, give or take the results.

It’ll be another Indianapolis takeover as the NFL Combine will be in Lucas Oil Stadium on March 1-7. Maybe that will bring these 14 guys good luck and strong results.

Georgia football will send 14 talented guys to the NFL Combine.

The Dawgs edged out second-place Alabama and Oklahoma, who have 11 invited to the event. Behind them is Texas A&M and LSU at nine each. Arizona State, Cinncinati, Michigan, Penn State and Ole Miss all have eight in the NFL Combine. Ohio State, Kentucky and Baylor had seven each.

Iowa State, Oregon, Virginia Tech and San Diego State have six heading to Indy. Notre Dame, North Carolina, UCLA and Arkansas will have five in Indy. A handful of schools have four coming to the Combine, but we cut it off at five.

The Dawgs’ 14 invitees give the SEC a whopping 82 in total competing in the Combine, which is roughly 25% of the players going.

Georgia could have as many as eight players drafted in the first round, but it isn’t dramatic to believe all 14 of these young men could get picked. If all 14 do, it will break the Georgia record they set last year at nine.

Some of these invitees participated in last week’s Senior Bowl, impressing scouts throughout the week. Now they will get another chance to convince these scouts of their worth.

The Georgia football players invited to the NFL Combine are:

  • Jake Camarda
  • Lewis Cine
  • James Cook
  • Jordan Davis
  • Nakobe Dean
  • Derion Kendrick
  • George Pickens
  • Jamaree Salyer
  • Justin Shaffer
  • Channing Tindall
  • Quay Walker
  • Travon Walker
  • Zamir White
  • Devonte Wyatt

It’s pretty incredible to think about that many Dawgs battling it out at the NFL Combine and potentially getting all 14 drafted a few weeks later. Georgia had a special team in 2021, and now look how it’s paying off for the Dawgs.

There will be plenty to watch that first week of March, and if it doesn’t go well, the Dawgs will likely have their Pro Day on March 16 in their practice facility.

Georgia could really give the program a momentum boost by having 14 in the Combine and possibly drafted. Recruits could see these numbers and realize it’s a feeder system to the league.
