Zion Logue

Georgia football picked up Zion Logue in the 2019 class as a 4-star defensive end, and everyone seemed to have high hopes for him.

He gave Georgia some depth on the defensive front that the Dawgs needed. Logue played in a couple of games his freshman year but ultimately redshirted.

In 2020, he saw playing time in the final five games of the season recording eight stops and one tackle for loss during the South Carolina game.

Then in this past season, he played in all 15 and was one of the players Georgia rotated in for Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt. He finished with 11 tackles, a sack and three quarterback pressures. Two of those pressures came against Auburn, and he earned his sack in that game.

While his playing reps were limited, Logue didn’t really have any big moments but could have. At 6-5 and 295 pounds, this guy isn’t tiny. He is slimmer than the two men in front of him, but he isn’t slow either.

Logue needs to step it up in 2022, or he will get beaten out by a younger guy. He came into Georgia as someone we all thought could get developed and eventually produce some decent minutes, but we just haven’t seen it yet.

This upcoming season will be a big one for Logue because there is no one in his way, he can put in the work and contribute, or he will be someone that falls down the depth chart.
