Four-star running back, Justice Haynes

Georgia football must land this running back in the 2023 class because Justice Hayes is a Bulldog legacy. His dad is the legendary Verron Haynes, yes, that one who caught the hobnail boot pass to beat Tennessee that would eventually lead the Dawgs to their first SEC Championship since the 1980s.

His son is now of age and is not only shocking the state of Georgia but the whole country with his ability to tote the rock. At 5-10 and 200-pounds, the Blessed Trinity Catholic school running back is currently a 4-star on 247Sports.

According to the Composite Rankings, he is the No. 47 overall player, the No. 3 running back, and the No. 3 player out of the Peach State.

Georgia has to find a way to get him on this football team as a legacy. He has the talent to match the name, so why not. Sometimes legacy players aren’t as good as their dad, but still, it’s important to find a place for them.

That situation isn’t the case for Haynes. He is plenty good enough to be the next RBU stud without his last name being Haynes.

He currently holds 35 offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas, to name a few, but the Dawgs seem to be the program to beat. The Buckeyes seem to have a shot too, but with Dell McGee leading this young man’s recruitment, the Dawgs should feel confident.

Haynes rushed 275 times for 2,375 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior. He also tallied 10 catches for 136 yards and two scores.

Throughout three years of high school football, he has amassed 5,873 rushing yards and 72 touchdowns. Haynes is a stud, and it’s going to be fun watching him in his final year of high school ball to see where that career tally mark lands.

This kid is the total package, and he has the speed, the vision, and patience. He has the hands too, which means he can catch out of the backfield in the passing game. Haynes isn’t a five-star yet, but he should be. If he goes through camp this summer without earning a fifth star, I will be surprised.

He is a must-land for Georgia, and there is nothing to change our mind about that.
