Georgia football has had some pretty incredible games between the hedges at Sanford Stadium throughout its history. Not to mention, it’s one of the best college football atmospheres and becoming one of the toughest to play in the SEC East.

Since 2000, there have been countless home games that fans look back on because they were so incredible. Which five were the best, though?

From 2000 to now, every win could be considered one of the best, but we’re talking games that when you reflect on them, the memories send chills down your spine.

Epic games are what makes people fall in love with college football, and with the Dawgs on the rise, it’s only right we break down and discuss those matchups. This article is the first of a three-part series as we rank the five best home, away and neutral site victories.

From head coach Mark Richt’s first couple of years to the most recent season, choosing the top 5 wasn’t easy. However, when you include the word epic into the discussion, the five emerged.

These five games were huge moments in their respected seasons. Georgia needed to win, and losing wasn’t an option. The crowds were loud and difference makers. Plus, the incredible performances that came along with the victories ultimately helped us rank the matchups the way we did.

Since head coach Kirby Smart took over, though, the games continue to get more epic, and this list could change sooner than later, but for now, these are our top five best home game victories for the Dawgs since 2000.
