2:  The 2007 Georgia football team defeats Auburn 45-20 in first black-out game

The No.2 game on this list has to be the 2007 Georgia Auburn game when the Dawgs came out in black jerseys, and all of Dawg Nation lost their marbles. Georgia went on to win 45-20, and this matchup became an instant classic.

While some may consider the 2013 LSU game the loudest Sanford Stadium has ever been, I believe it was this game. I remember feeling the vibrations through my shoes. It felt like that stadium was literally rocking.

When those players came out in black, that entire place went nuts, and even though the Tigers hung around for a little while, there was no doubt — Georgia was going to win that ballgame.

To honor the senior class, Georgia got those black jerseys and surprised them in the locker room ahead of the game, which makes it all that much sweeter.

Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno put on a show and bullied the Tiger defense all night.

Moreno recorded 22 carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Stafford finished the game going 11-of-19 for 237 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

While Moreno was the star of the show, receivers Mohamed Massaquoi and  Sean Bailey had some big moments too. Massaquoi caught the Dawgs’ first touchdown of the game, a 58-yard bomb from Stafford.

Bailey caught a 13-yard pass to make it 17-3, but Auburn wasn’t giving up just yet. Auburn scored 17 unanswered points, and then Georgia’s defense hunkered down to get the stops in the fourth quarter.

Georgia responded to those 17 points by scoring 28 unanswered to win 45-20, and those black jerseys became a good luck charm for a little while anyway.

That first black-out game was one of the most memorable nights I’ve ever experienced between the hedges, but only one game tops this one.
