Georgia football wide receiver George Pickens is one of the most intriguing prospects in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft. Where could this former 5-star receiver get taken off the board, and how much did his injury hurt his stock?

While he won’t be a first-rounder, Pickens should get drafted, and three teams would make for a perfect fit. He is a naturally gifted young man who, once he gets healthy, will become a weapon on the field once again.

Pickens was impressive when he was on the field, leading the Dawgs in receiving as a freshman in 2019 in a rather underwhelming passing attack. His breakout game came against Baylor in the Sugar Bowl as he torched the Bears for 175 yards and a touchdown on 12 receptions.

The flashes he showed in that game, as well as with JT Daniels at quarterback in the late stages of the 2020 season, display just how electric Pickens can be when healthy.

Georgia football could see George Pickens drafted by one of these three NFL teams.

Recovery from a torn ACL caused him to miss most of the 2021 season, but he also showed flashes in his minimal playing time upon returning. The 2022 wide receiver draft class is full of talent, so coming off a major injury, Pickens is reasonably being projected to be selected in the second round.

What team is the best fit for Pickens? Well, it’s fair to say that every team would enjoy the services of a 6-3 dynamic playmaker. Based on each team’s current needs, though, there are a few potential landing spots that would make for an ideal fit.

Here are the top three teams we think could select Pickens, and we include some honorable mentions because a lot of teams could use a receiver like him.
