2. New England Patriots

Another NFL team that loves to draft Georgia football players and is the evil empire is the New England Patriots and could be a team that could select George Pickens.

Everybody’s favorite team to root against needs help at the wide receiver position, which seemed to be the case before Tom Brady ever left.

Like Chicago, the Patriots have a starting quarterback entering year two in the NFL in Mac Jones. New England hopes to see Jones build on a strong showing as a rookie.

Jakobi Meyers led the Patriots in receiving in 2021 with 866 yards, with Kendrick Bourne close behind with an even 800 yards.

Meyers is a promising young receiver that could pair nicely alongside Pickens. The two have almost identical builds, with the only difference being a one-inch height advantage for Pickens, but Pickens’ physicality and explosiveness make him so versatile.

The Patriots could look to put him into the role they initially envisioned for N’Keal Harry, who has been fairly unimpressive in his first three seasons.

Pickens has also proven to be an eager run blocker in his time at Georgia, a trait that will be heavily appreciated in New England.

The Patriots don’t exactly have an offense that could be described as entertaining, but the addition of Pickens could help to change that.
