Georgia football safety, Lewis Cine

Lewis Cine made himself a lot of money at the NFL Combine with his speed and athletic ability.

He ran the fifth-fastest 40-yard dash as Cine went 4.37. Cine recorded an 11’1″ broad and a 36.50″ vertical jump. The broad jump led the group of safeties to participate in the NFL Combine. Kyle Hamilton recorded a 10’11” in the board, so he was close to matching Cine.

The first and fifth 40-yard dash times were decided by 0.03, so it was a stiff competition.

Cine solidified he is a top-10 defensive back in the NFL Draft, and while he was already projected decently high, now he could be a first-round draft pick.

Some say Kyle Hamilton is, but Cine had better times in the broad jump and 40-yard dash, the only thing Hamilton had better results in was vertical. He is also two inches taller than Cine, so it makes sense why that was higher.

Cine has that gritty, nasty attitude when he plays football, and that is such an important trait in the NFL. That aggressiveness allows him to cover strong receivers better, and he has the vision to pick off the ball. However, it’s his tackling and big-play skills that really impress.

He jumped up mock drafts by a lot after his NFL Combine performance. We think he goes above Hamilton after what he did in Indy — it was enough to go as the No.1 safety.
