Georgia football gets a massive recruiting win with Arch Manning
Georgia football is putting together another solid recruiting class for the 2023 cycle. One of the latest recruiting wins is getting 5-star quarterback Arch Manning to plan another visit to Athens.
On Monday, 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong reported that Manning would be in Athens for the March 19 weekend. He also reported that he would be in Texas next weekend for the March 24 weekend.
These visits are great for the two schools because it tells them that Manning is still interested in attending.
After seeing Arch Manning scheduling another visit, Georgia football got a big recruiting win.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Manning is the No. 1 overall player, the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 player out of Louisiana. He is a four-year starter that has amassed 6,307 yards, 81 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Manning also has 742 rushing yards and 19 scores on the ground.
These visits will be the first since the ones he took last fall. Manning plays basketball, too, so he waited until now.
Georgia’s coaching staff have visited him for a few basketball games, and it seems like offensive coordinator Todd Monken has done a great job building a relationship with Manning.
Texas has also done a great job at building a relationship with him, but there is something about Athens, and head coach Kirby Smart gives off Manning truly loves Georgia. The other teams Manning is considering are Alabama, Florida, LSU and Ole Miss.
Even though some people think Georgia football doesn’t need another quarterback, Manning would give the Dawgs the right amount of scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
One of the current guys could leave, and then Stetson Bennett will be gone after this season, which would leave just two scholarship guys, so it’s crucial to land him.
The fact that Georgia gets this visit is a huge win. Now Georgia will get a chance to really impress Manning and convince him to pick the Dawgs.
