2023 QB Dylan Lonergan

One of the first quarterbacks Georgia football would target is Dylan Lonergan, a 4-star who is also a highly-touted baseball prospect.

He is a versatile player that has a strong arm but also great instincts to make him not only a great baseball player but a quarterback too.

Georgia would be able to use him in more than one way because he would likely play with the Diamond Dawgs too.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No.100 overall prospect, the No. 9 quarterback and the No. 10 player out of Georgia.

Lonergan currently has 25 offers, including ones from South Carolina, Alabama, Ohio State and a handful of others.

He led Brookwood to a 10-3 overall record in 2021 and a Georgia 7A quarterfinal appearance. Lonergan threw for 3,392 yards, 32 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also recorded 90 rush attempts for 645 yards and seven scores.

Throughout three years of high school, he has thrown for 6,239 yards, 57 scores, nine interceptions and completed 64% of his passes.

Lonergan is a playmaker and knows how to use the weapons around him to get the job done. His being a multi-sport athlete could help him stick around longer because baseball can use him if he doesn’t beat out the quarterbacks ahead of him.

Georgia would make a great fit for him because of that reason alone. Head coach Kirby Smart and baseball coach Scott Stricklin know they can use this kid, so he would likely be the first Georgia calls if Arch Manning goes elsewhere.
