2023 QB Eli Holstein

Eli Holstein is the last name Georgia football should consider at quarterback for the 2023 recruiting cycle. He is a Louisiana native with many playmaking abilities, and his film is a lot of fun to watch.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 54 overall player, the No. 8 quarterback and the No. 5 player out of Louisiana. He goes to Zachary High School, where he led them to a 15-0 record and Class 5A state championship in 2021.

With 24 offers, Holstein’s recruitment is on the rise, and Georiga needs to get in on this right away because this senior season could really make him one appealing recruit.

He already is after his impressive junior season, but if Georgia misses on Arch Manning, Holstein could be a great guy to add instead. At 6-4 and 226-pounds, he is tall and knows how to use his body to get the job done.

Last year during his state championship run, Holstein threw for 3,228 yards, 30 touchdowns, six interceptions, and completed 65% of his passes. He also recorded 66 rushes for 523 yards and 14 scores, an average of 7.9 yards a touch.

Playmaker is the best way to describe him because that is what Holstein does. Regardless if it’s through the air on with his feet, he can make things happen, which would make for a great fit in Athens.

Georgia football still has a great relationship with Manning, so these are three quarterbacks that will get contacted if it doesn’t go well with option one. It’s not saying that Georgia doesn’t want them, but every school targets their main guys and have options behind them — it’s just how recruiting works.
