Georgia football is always looking for the next great linebacker in each recruiting class because that is one position group the Dawgs have proved to dominate in recruiting.

The Dawgs find diamonds in the rough, superstars in the making, and everything in between to develop and turn into NFL prospects.

Co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann is a mastermind when it comes to finding the right recruits for Georgia, and since he got to Athens, he has been an NFL machine.

Schumann is another Kirby Smart for coaching style and how much he loves this game. That passion is likely one of the reasons Smart hired him first when he took the Georgia job.

The Dawgs continue to develop some of the best inside linebackers, and the 2022 NFL Draft will see three of them likely go in the first three rounds, if not sooner.

Georgia football should target these three inside linebackers for the 2023 class.

Schumann helped mold Roquan Smith, Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker, Monty Rice, and others in his short six years. However, what he does on the recruiting trail is even more impressive.

No matter where the player is, Schumann will make sure he feels special and make that trip to get his guy.

This 2023 class will be a big one for him because there are so many strong inside linebackers that Georgia will be looking at signing.

Some that the players that didn’t make this list but are still good to know are Raylen Wilson — a current Michigan commit the Dawgs could flip. Another is Walt Weeks, a 3-star from Oconee County, and then there is CJ Allen, another 3-star who could wind up with the Dawgs if he has a solid senior year and camps well this summer.

Here are the three guys Georgia should target in the 2023 recruiting cycle. These are in no particular order, they are just three guys that the Dawgs should push hard to sign.
