4-star linebacker, Raul Aguirre

The third linebacker that Georgia football should heavily target in this class is Raul Aguirre, better known as “PoPo.”

He is a 6-2 and 220-pound linebacker out of Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Ga., who is easily the best player at his position in the state.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No.122 overall player, the No. 9 linebacker and the No. 13 player in Georgia.

Arkansas and Ohio State are two front runners for him right now, but the Dawgs should be right in the mix. Georgia needs to hop on him because Aguirre is a stud who needs to play his college ball in Athens.

Aguirre has great length to him, strong instincts on the football field, and his agility is impressive to watch. He can handle pass coverage well and is comfortable doing whatever he needs to for the team.

One of the most impressive things is his patience so he can make big plays. He doesn’t rush things or try to shut down anything until it needs to be.

Aguirre is a playmaker that needs to be in Athens and is coachable, so it’s a perfect fit for the Dawgs. He could be the next Georgia linebacker, which isn’t an exaggeration because when you watch his film, you cannot take your eyes off him.

He visited Miami back in January and most recently visited Ohio State on April 9. Aguirre is receiving offers left and right, so expect him to be someone every team wants, but Georgia lands in the end because this staff will fight for him.

Georgia football needs to land at least one of these guys, if not all three, in the 2023 class because they are playmakers.

Co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann knows what he likes, and these three would make fabulous additions, so the Dawgs need to put the pressure on and let them know Athens is where to go as a linebacker.
