Georgia football saw impressive numbers from two veteran receivers

There were more than just the two Georgia football receivers we’re about to mention that had a strong performance during G-Day, but these two deserve praise.

It was good to see Kearis Jackson and Dominick Blaylock back on the football field again and making big plays. Both took advantage of the snaps they got and made some great plays with those opportunities. They looked healthy and excited to be back out there.

Kearis Jackson led the Black squad with four catches for 107 yards and Blaylock was the second-leading receiver for the Red team with five catches for 67 yards.

After fighting injuries last season, it was important to see what they could do at G-Day. Blaylock has gotten praise from head coach Kirby Smart throughout the spring and seeing him shine proved that he is officially back in the mix.

He had a long catch of 27 yards, and Jackson had one of 28 yards. These two guys bring a veteran mindset to the receiving room it needs. There are so many younger players in there right now that these two will be the leaders and help those youngsters become better.

We also must mention two tight ends that deserve some praise. Oscar Delp had seven catches for 91 yards, and Arik Gilbert had three catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Seeing those two compete on Saturday only makes the Dawgs’ tight end room more lethal than it already was.

The Dawgs saw their receivers make some big plays on Saturday, and it’s good to see them out there being explosive like the offense should be.
