Georgia football just saw two of its best defensive linemen head to the NFL Draft, and while Jalen Carter will be around at least for 2022, the Dawgs have already found its next Jordan Davis.

The similarities between Davis and 2023 prospect Jamaal Jarrett are uncanny. Davis was a 3-star out of high school, and Jarrett is currently a 3-star. Both are from North Carolina, and both are gigantic human beings.

There will never be another Jordan Davis, but the Dawgs are looking for the next big defensive line plug — Jarrett is that.

Georgia football must sign this massive defensive lineman in the 2023 class.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Jarrett is the No. 57 defensive line and the No. 15 player out of North Carolina. He stands at 6-5 and 335-pounds, so he would easily be a hole-filler on the defensive line.

Jarrett currently has 26 offers, with Clemson offering him during his visit on April 11. After visiting Athens for G-Day, the interest is clear, and Georgia needs to pounce on it.

He announced on Twitter Wednesday he would drop his top school list, and we fully expect Georgia to be on that list. Despite being a North Carolina kid, we feel Georgia leads the way. The Dawgs have the best defensive line coach in the country in Tray Scott, and after the NFL Draft this year, he will have the draft picks to back up that argument.

Scott would work wonders with Jarrett and take his game to another level. He could be the next great defensive lineman with his size and physical abilities. Georgia needs another guy like him in that room because he is physically a game-changer.

The Dawgs could use him in a similar way they used Davis. However, he seems athletic for his size, so that is something that stands out about him. Jarrett is quicker than he looks, can bulldoze through offensive lines, and tackles well.

Georgia football needs another big-time defensive lineman to keep the momentum going at that position. Jarrett is that guy in the 2023 class. It doesn’t matter that he is a 3-star because he has the ceiling of a 5-star.
