Georgia football wraps up Day 2 with four players drafted as Channing Tindall gets selected by the Miami Dolphins at the 102nd pick during the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Dawgs tied their record for most players drafted in one year at nine once Tindall got selected by Miami. Plus, Georgia broke the record for most defensive players taken in three rounds at seven.

Tindall is the third linebacker from the Dawgs in this class, and just like Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker, he has a high ceiling and a ton of potential.

Georgia football sees Channing Tindall drafted by the Miami Dolphins in round three of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Dolphins used their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft to grab Tindall, which should tell you what kind of player he is. This pickup is an excellent fit for Tindall as they needed an aggressive linebacker.

Tindall was someone who shined at the NFL Combine, but because he shared the load with Dean and Walker, the production numbers weren’t there.

However, he took advantage of his snaps and was a force on that 2021 Georgia defense. Tindall made some great plays throughout the 2021 season, especially when he ran down that Alabama receiver in the title game to keep the Tide from scoring and gaining any more momentum.

Tindall finished the national championship with eight tackles as he led the team that game. He also had 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack and five pressures.

He finished his career at Georgia with 108 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. Last year, Tindall recorded 67 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble and 19 quarterback hurries.

Another positive trait about Tindall is how coachable he is. Nakobe Dean correcting him in the national championship is forever ingrained in our heads because Tindall made the play to force a field goal in the next play. He isn’t afraid of criticism, working on his craft, and he knows with hard work comes success.

Tindall wants to prove himself and will in south Florida because now he will get the chance to be a premier linebacker.

He came to Georgia ranked as the No.5 outside linebacker and someone head coach Kirby Smart fought hard to sign, as everyone expected great things from him. Tindall lived up to those expectations and will make a name for himself with the Dolphins.

Next. The Eagles draft field general Nakobe Dean with 83rd pick. dark

Georgia football continues to break records as the draft’s final day is here. The Dawgs should finish strong as too many talented players are left on the board for these NFL teams to overlook.
