Georgia football: 2 big winners and losers of the 2022 NFL Draft
Georgia football isn’t an NFL team, but the Dawgs won the 2022 NFL Draft after breaking at least four records throughout the three-day event.
The Dawgs saw 100% of its players enter the draft and get selected, giving them the most ever taken in one year.
While that stat alone is why the Dawgs won the NFL Draft overall, there are still some winners and losers when it’s all said and done. Regardless, this feat gives head coach Kirby Smart plenty to brag about future recruiting classes and his mentor Nick Saban.
These are the Georgia football winners and losers of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Dawgs started the first round with a bang as Travon Walker went No.1 overall to the Jaguars. They finished the first round with a bang, as Lewis Cine got selected as the 32nd pick to the Vikings. Day 2 saw four more Georgia chosen players, and this was the day that left some people scratching their heads as individuals who shouldn’t be were still on the board.
However, Day 3 came along, and the remaining six players slowly but surely got selected. Georgia did it. They overcame the odds of breaking the record LSU and Ohio State set, thus giving the NFL Draft a new king.
While more good came out of the 2022 NFL Draft, some things didn’t go how many people expected. Even when there are positive things happening, there are losers in these things. It doesn’t mean we’re saying a player is a loser. Nope because all 15 of those players are winners, but there are other elements that we label as being losers of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Here are the two winners and losers of this year’s draft.
