On Wednesday, Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart participated in the PGA Champions Tour Pro-Am, and he stole the show.

From his $1,000 bet with Alabama head coach Nick Saban to him playing with the legendary 1998 Masters Champion Mark O’Meara, it’s safe to say Smart was enjoying himself.

Away from the football field, it’s evident that Smart loves being on the golf course, and his game seems strong.

However, the best part is seeing the video content from the Champions Tour event and how the day went. There is nothing quite like seeing someone with O’Meara’s status show that much joy to be around a head football coach.

Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart stole the show at Champions Tour Pro-Am.

These videos show Smart’s personality, and it’s the best. He is so competitive, and when he said, “I’d like to finish respectable, I’ve got a $1000 bet with Nick.” that showed everything we need to know about their relationship.

Fun, but also highly competitive.

Saban acted like he didn’t know when the media asked him, but he did say we welcome all challenges. They are such good friends, and it even shows on the golf course. That relationship is excellent, but it’s also fun to see Smart poke fun at Saban, especially on the golf course.

After he walks in a putt that even Kevin Na would be proud of, Smart goes and signs some autographs saying that he would be there all day and that they should follow him around instead of Saban.

That subtle dig just shows his competitive nature, and we’re here for it. However, that video wasn’t even the best part of his Pro-Am time. The interaction between him and O’Meara truly set the content over the edge.

O’Meara immediately brings up the national championship and how he is so happy that he came and played golf with him. His stepson goes to Georgia, so the connection is there, and it’s clear they enjoy being around each other.

Smart said he was at Augusta when O’Meara made his putt to win and then answered questions on golf and football — it was just great to see him look relaxed. However, he made it clear the quietness of golf makes him nervous — though we will let that be his Jedi mind trick and won’t question it.
