Georgia football $80 million renovations prove it just means more

Since head coach Kirby Smart got to Athens, one of the biggest priorities was giving Georgia football the best facilities possible.

Now that the $80 million renovations are complete, the Dawgs have the best facilities in college football. They should have the best as an SEC school because it’s the top conference — you know, it just means more.

Smart knew that updating the facilities would allow them to land better recruits and make the program more successful.

Some don’t understand why buildings can help people do this, but it’s true.

Georgia football has the best facilities in college football.

Nutrition, weight room, indoor practice facilities, and everything in between are crucial for the success of programs.

It allows the football program to be on another level, giving players everything they need to succeed.

These renovations were long overdue. Before Smart got to Athens, they needed to happen, but that isn’t the point. It got done, and that is all that matters because it helped get the program where it is right now.

Since the Dawgs got the indoor field, it has been a difference maker. I mean, hello, 33-18 2021 National Championship victory. 

This latest update to the Butts-Mehhre Heritage Hall is even more incredible.

They expanded the weight room, added a nutrition area, and the locker rooms are incredible — there is so much good in this renovation that it’s hard not to appreciate it.

From the various art pieces to the overall design, it was classically done and embodied Georgia football.

It’s great to see Georgia get the facilities this program deserves. The Dawgs want to contend every year and having these kinds of amenities on campus helps get the right players on the field.

Plus, seeing those 2021 National Championship features make it so much sweeter because it’s what they worked so hard for, and now they have a beautiful facility to showcase it.

Georgia knows what recruits and players want, and they designed this with everyone in mind, and now they have the best football facility.

We’ve said before Georgia could be starting to build its dynasty, and this facility upgrade is one of the things it takes to truly start one of them.
