Georgia football has its recruiting machine running wide open as the Dawgs saw another commitment on Monday.

Add commitment number four in June for Georgia football as the Dawgs got a pledge from 4-star linebacker CJ Allen on Monday.

Allen marks the third pickup in five days, which means the Dawgs have gained a lot of momentum on the recruiting trail.

Allen’s pledge moves the Dawgs to the No. 3 on the 247Sports 2023 class rankings.

He marks the 12th member of this class, consisting of one 5-star, seven 4-stars, three 3-stars, and a kicker not ranked on 247Sports, but is a 5-star among the kicking rankings.

CJ Allen is a major commitment for the 2023 Georgia football class.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Allen is the No. 138 overall, No. 15 linebacker and the No.15 player out of Georgia.

Linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann has outdone himself again, showing he knows what kind of player he wants and will go after to help Georgia succeed. He chose the Dawgs over Tennessee and Auburn. This pickup is a strong one for Schumann, who continues to prove the Dawgs are indeed LBU.

As a junior, Allen recorded 91 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and three interceptions. He plays on both sides of the ball and recorded 113 rush attempts for 1,080 yards and 16 touchdowns.

There isn’t much Allen can’t do, and that versatility allows him to know a lot of football, which Schumann has to enjoy.
