Georgia football fans must take a deep breath and remember that it’s June.

The recruiting process is a marathon, not a sprint, and the 2023 Georgia football recruiting class is sitting in a good place.

Other teams are adding some big names to their recruiting class, but head coach Kirby Smart has a proven process.

Maybe Georgia fans are just a little more anxious, but they shouldn’t be at this point in the Smart era.

However, when June rolls around, some fans still worry about that year’s recruiting class and if it will live up to the expectations.

Since Smart took the job in Athens, there hasn’t been a single recruiting class that the fans have had to worry about being good. Smart and his recruiting staff do a better job recruiting than a majority of college football.

Georgia football fans need to take a deep breath because the recruiting is in good hands.

The Dawgs picked up four commitments in June, but because the Dawgs missed on Arch Manning and another five-star doesn’t mean it is a wash.

The Dawgs can land plenty of talent left in the 2023 class. Georgia will start the dead period off strong as three or four could join the class by the middle of July.

Dawg fans need to realize that this recruiting process is a journey. Ups and downs will happen, but it’s about how Georgia finishes that truly matters.

No one needs to worry about whether Georgia will get the guys they want in this recruiting class in June.

While December will be here before we know it — Georgia is still pushing hard for all of the ones on the big board. Most Dawg fans understand that this class has momentum building, and those worried still have some PTSD from the Mark Richt years.

Deep breath, Dawg fans, because the ones who care less about missing out on Manning are the ones who understand it’s about how they finish in December and not June.
