Georgia football starting quarterback Stetson Bennett put on a show last season, and this highlight video proves that.

There is a love-hate relationship between the Georgia football faithful and starting quarterback Stetson Bennett.

While he led the team to its first national championship in 41 years, it wasn’t a smooth road for Bennett. Half of the fans scrutinized him constantly, while the other half jumped on the train and loved seeing him succeed.

Whether you’re a fan of the Mailman or not, he is a stud and the highlights from last season are some of the best from the team.

He was so clutch for Georgia and took on a role that wasn’t his, made it his, and won a championship with his work ethic and, yes, his talent.

Georgia football quarterback Stetson Bennett was a stud in 2021.

From his impressive start against UAB to his championship-winning touchdown passes, there were many explosive moments from Bennett.

He was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the country, and he proved all his doubters wrong as the season continued.

Georgia football turned to him, and thankfully Bennett stood up for the challenge. Yes, that defense was incredible, but what Bennett made happen offensively shouldn’t get overlooked.

He was a pivotal contributor to the success of that Georgia team, and while the defense did make the offense’s job easier, he needs credit for his solid year.

Last year, Bennett went 185-for-287 for 2,862 yards, 29 touchdowns, seven interceptions and averaged 10 yards an attempt. He completed 64.5% of his passes and had a 176.7 quarterback rating.

Those are great numbers, but so many people have that former walk-on picture in their heads. Instead, they need to give this young man a clean slate. Just watch those highlights. Were some of them incredible because of the receiver making a big play? Did he throw every pass perfectly?

He didn’t need to be perfect to do what he did, and Bennett won a national championship.

Reflect on these highlights because with him coming back in 2022, it gives that offense an edge. Bennett is a great leader and can make some plays, so give him his due diligence and be excited he is back for one more season.
