Epic recruits that Georgia football could see commit in July
Georgia football has already seen a strong start on the recruiting front for July, but a lot more could happen in the last couple of weeks.
There has already been a lot of buzz surrounding various Georgia football recruiting classes this month, but the Dawgs are far from seeing that momentum subside.
With the month halfway over, the next few weeks will feature massive names making decisions that should result in good news for the Dawgs.
Georgia plays the long game in recruiting, and while the NIL deals have made them get creative, the Dawgs have done an excellent job pitching the program to these 2023,2024 and even 2025 kids.
The Dawgs have seen two 2023 kids commit this month in Daniel Harris and Raylen Wilson. Two 2024 players committed to the Dawgs Colquitt County teammates Landen Thomas and Ny Carr. Most recently, Jabree Wallace-Coleman, a 2025 running back, committed on July 11, so there has been some serious movement for Georgia in July.
Five players have made it official, and four more could be before the end of July. To see 10 total players across three classes commit in one month should make every Georgia fan feel a little easier about the recruiting situation in Athens.
Plus, it gives the Dawgs so much momentum heading into the fall.
Georgia football could close out July with double-digit commitments.
Right now, the most crucial class to focus on is 2023. That group will be the next to sign in December, so landing the important guys out of that class is key. The five remaining guys that Georgia is waiting to announce this month are all 2023 guys, and it should push the Dawgs up the recruiting rankings.
According to 247Sports team rankings, the Dawgs are currently No.9 in the 2023 class, so there is room to improve.
Three of the five have set dates for announcing their decisions. 4-star Troy Bowles will be the first on July 16, 4-star Jamaal Jarrett on July 19, and 5-star Joenel Aguero on July 23.
Bowles is a 4-star linebacker out of Tampa, Fla., who co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach, Glenn Schumann is pushing hard to get.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Bowles is No. 44 overall, No.2 linebacker and the No. 11 player out of Florida.
He is picking between Oklahoma, Ohio State and the Dawgs. Right now, Georgia should feel confident about landing Bowles. Schumann is an animal on the recruiting trail, and if Bowles is a priority, then the Dawgs will make sure he knows.
Bowles will announce on Saturday, so this weekend could be what makes the first of many dominos fall the rest of the month.
After Bowles, Jarrett will announce on July 19 as he is picking between Auburn, Georgia and UNC. He is from North Carolina, so there are some ties there, but the Dawgs should feel confident about him.

What Tray Scott has done for that defensive front should be enough to get the next coming of Jordan Davis to Athens. If you remember, Davis is a North Carolina guy who chose to go outside the state, and it worked out for him. It would likely do the same for Jarrett.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Jarrett is the No.176 overall, No. 26 defensive tackle and the No. 3 player out of North Carolina.
He is a massive human at 6-6 and 350-pounds, which Georgia would love to have on its defensive front, so keep an eye out for his decision later on this month.
One of the biggest names of the month that could come to Georgia is Aguero. The 5-star safety is out of Lynn, Massachusetts, so Fran Brown’s former stomping grounds in New England. He is a hot commodity in all of football, and he is someone that a lot of schools want.
The 6-0 and 195-pound safety is an ideal size and someone the Dawgs, have had on their board for a while. He would make a perfect fit for this defense as the Dawgs will need help at the safety position sooner than later.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Aguero is the No. 34 overall, No. 2 safety and the No.2 player out of Massachusetts.
If Brown could land this one, it would be a great first class. He will have to beat out Ohio State, Florida and Miami for Aguero, so it’s stout competition, but at the same time, Georgia should be the easy answer.
Those three guys have set dates, but the rest of the prospects that could commit this month are Kelton Smith, possibly Tyler Williams, and Justice Haynes.
Things could change, and some could wait until August, but you never know with 17-18 year-olds. They could decide to commit right away or stay silent until they get their moment.
Regardless, Georgia football will have one heck of a recruiting month, and the momentum the Dawgs will have heading into the final stretch of this recruiting class will be almost untouchable.
