Georgia football starting quarterback Stetson Bennett has one more season with the Dawgs, and after last season, the expectations surrounding him are at an all-time high.

While he doesn’t have anything else to prove, Bennett will look to match last season’s success and lead the Dawgs to another successful season. When he feels like people don’t believe in him, it makes Bennett work harder, so this year could be even better for the starter.

He is a national championship-winning quarterback, something only Buck Belue can currently say, so Bennett has earned his starting job with the Dawgs.

His tenacity, no-quit attitude and overall disposition are things so many love about him, especially his coaches and teammates.

Here’s the 2022 Georgia football profile for quarterback Stetson Bennett breaking down his strengths, weaknesses, video highlights, and a season prediction.

Bennett doesn’t have to be anyone but himself, and that is plenty because he has secured his spot in Georgia football history.

However, building off last season’s success is inevitable because it seems the longer Bennett is in Athens, the better he gets. With another year under Todd Monken, Bennett should have his best season yet in 2022, and it could potentially break some records.

Let’s break down what Bennett brings to the table in 2022, from his strengths and weaknesses, to provide a season prediction for a little extra fun.

Strengths

Bennett is a quarterback that can use his legs to his advantage. He is a speedy guy that can break tackles when he rolls out of the pocket. Bennett’s arm strength isn’t the best but good enough to get it to his offensive weapons.

His leadership is probably his biggest strength, as the whole team has bought into following Bennett into the gauntlet. He earned that status and will use that to his advantage. His knowledge of the offense allows him more freedom to find success in different ways.

Weaknesses

Bennett tends to force passes when he doesn’t need to, which will be one of the biggest concerns this season. Sometimes he wants to make things happen when they don’t need him to, but hopefully, after last season, that will happen less. His arm strength isn’t the best, so he can sometimes underthrow his receivers, but it has gotten much better in the last two years.

2022 Season Prediction for Stetson Bennett

After a successful 2021, everyone hopes that Bennett carries it over into 2022, which brings me to my prediction. Last year Bennett threw for 2,862 yards, 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He had a 64.46% completion rating and had 365 yards rushing with one score.

My prediction for Bennett in 2022 is that he throws for 3,200 yards, 32 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He will complete 65% of his passes as well. Bennett will rush for 450 yards and score at least three times on the ground.

These predictions aren’t out of reach for Bennett if he plays anywhere close to what he did in 2021. He should play better because his offensive weapons around him are another year stronger.

Must Read. Bottom line, Georgia football does NIL deals the right way. light

Georgia football should have a strong year out of its starting quarterback as Bennett still has that chip on his shoulder.
