4. Georgia football sees success in long-yardage plays

Georgia recorded 39 plays of 10-plus yards, which ranks No. 2 in the SEC and No.11 nationally. Vanderbilt has the most at 41. The Dawgs also have the conference’s second-most plays of 20-plus yards at 13. Georgia has even had three plays of 30-plus yards.

Those Dawgs are putting together big chunks of yardage, and even though it has only been two games, these numbers should make fans feel better because they move the ball down the field.

Georgia leads the SEC in passing plays of 10-plus yards at 33 and ranks No. 5 nationally in this category. The Dawgs also lead the league in passing plays of 20-plus yards at 13, which also ranks No. 5 nationally. Yeah, Georgia is doing work right now, and the offense is okay.

An explosive offense is part of the game plan, and we already see that for the Dawgs in 2022.

light. Must Read. Georgia Football proves how irrelevant toxic early rankings are

These four stats should make fans feel better about the second-half performance against Samford. Georgia will have a test against South Carolina, but the Dawgs should be able to add to these numbers in Week 3, so chin up — the Dawgs have a top offense, and it’ll all work out.
