Georgia football is coming off its third straight blowout win as the Dawgs beat South Carolina 48-7. Now it’s time for the Dawgs’ last cupcake game of the season as they welcome Kent State to Athens for another noon kickoff.

After the last few weeks of seeing powerhouse programs struggle with these games, the Dawgs must make sure to stay focused and avoid disaster. Kent State is 1-2 on the season, but that doesn’t mean Georgia shouldn’t take this game seriously.

The Dawgs should handle Kent State with ease and possibly earn its second shutout of the season, but still, it’s always better to over-prepare than assume anything.

These two teams only met one other time in 1998 when the Dawgs beat the Golden Flashes 56-3. Look for a similar outcome on Saturday because this Georgia team is too strong for Kent State.

Georgia Football vs. Kent State Golden Flashes odds for Week 4:

The Dawgs come into this next game as 44.5-point favorites over Kent State on FanDuel. The spread line has Georgia at -105 and the Golden Flashes at -115. So if you bet $100 on the spread in Georgia’s favor, you’d win $95.24, but if you bet it in Kent State’s favor, you’d win $86.96.

Fan Duel doesn’t currently have a money line bet on this matchup, so fans will have to bet on the spread or the over/under which is at 59.5 points, with the under at -114 and the over at -106. So if betting on the over/under is more your speed, throwing down $100 on the over would result in a $94.34 victory, and if you did the same for the under, it would be $87.72.

Georgia Football vs. Kent State Golden Flashes prediction for Week 4:

This matchup shouldn’t be hard to pick for those gambling on it. Georgia should beat Kent State, but that spread is a little steep given what we’ve seen from the Dawgs so far.

The Dawgs may cover the spread against Kent State, but it may be safer to suggest that they won’t cover it.

However, we could see the Dawgs push down the throttle and hang 44-plus on the Golden Flashes. Regardless it’ll be a blowout victory as long as Georgia stays focused and avoids disaster.

Going with the under may be the best choice in this matchup because I don’t see Kent State scoring a lot. Unless the Dawgs don’t ease up and just run Kent State into the dirt until the final whistle, seeing more than 59.5 points may be unrealistic.

Georgia football should see win No.4 against Kent State, but it’ll be interesting to see how simple they go with the offense. The Dawgs could go off and get flashy with this one, or it could be a lot of what fans saw against Samford. Hopefully, the weather will be better, and the fans won’t find a double-digit win unsatisfying. If we had to predict a score, Georgia will win this one 42-0 and head into its gauntlet SEC stretch 4-0.
