Georgia football has destroyed every opponent in the past three weeks, leaving no prisoners in its path of destruction. While fans know how strong Georgia looks, Late Kick’s Josh Pate gave the perfect analogy.

Shark Week is one of the most popular events of the summer, but the way Pate compares great white sharks to this Georgia football team made perfect sense. No one else has put it the way Pate did, and for this Shark Week lover, it finally gave me the right way to discuss why this Georgia team is so special.

The violent but necessary analogy should scare the rest of Georgia’s opponents because the Dawgs are looking to hunt down each team and shred them to pieces. Now that Georgia has an offense with the same bite force as its defense, watch out, world, the Dawgs are eating.

Georgia football is the great white shark of college football

Finally, someone said what Pate did about the Dawgs, and while it does give some PTSD anxiety at the same time, this team is really exciting. The way Georgia has carried itself this season is truly mind-blowing because the Dawgs aren’t usually this strong until later in the season. Head coach Kirby Smart has this group focused, and it is one of the best-coached programs in the country.

No one has challenged the Dawgs. No one challenges great white sharks — for the most part, those sneaky killer whales are not a part of this analogy. Pate nails it, and every Georgia fan should appreciate this analogy because it’s the only one that makes sense.

Georgia is the apex predator of college football, and anyone who stands in the way will be the next victim. The Dawgs are focused on the bigger picture and aren’t looking to make friends. Sharks hunt down their prey, and so does Georgia. It’s all about destroying each opponent the Dawgs face and using that victory as more fuel to keep going — kind of like sharks eating seals to make long trips.

Ole Miss considers itself the land sharks, but this Georgia football team is officially the great white sharks. They are here to rule the game and make no friends. Georgia is handling itself this season with pure dominance, and Pate provided the perfect analogy for the Dawgs. Now it’s up to them to keep it up and prove why they are the apex predator.
