A quick Georgia football injury report for the Missouri game
Georgia football has done a great job of staying healthy in the first four weeks of the season. Outside of a few additions to the injury list, most of the main playmakers are relatively healthy. There are no major issues, and the Dawgs should have a full travel squad for the matchup against Missouri.
Head coach Kirby Smart only had a few names that were unlikely to play this week against the Tigers of the SEC East. This week is the one that could see some guys return who have been out the last couple of weeks, and also see guys go full force again. However, some of those players have nagging injuries, so it could take some patience and time.
Georgia should have the players it needs to get the second SEC victory of the season, but it’s also important for them to stay healthy as well. If the Dawgs can come out of Columbia, MO, without much damage, that will be ideal.
Georgia football injury report for Week 5 against the Missouri Tigers
RB Andrew Paul (Out)
DB Nyland Green (Out)
LB C.J. Washington (Unknown)
WR AD Mitchell (Doubtful)
DB Nyland Green (Doubtful)
WR AD Mitchell (Doubtful)
WR Arian Smith (Probable)
OL Earnest Greene (Probable)
DL Jalen Carter (Likely)
RB Kenny McIntosh (Likely)
S Tykee Smith (Likely)
This list looks longer than it truly needs to be. Some of these players could go this week, but they are still up in the air. These guys could travel but not play. It’ll all depend on whether or not they need to go for the Dawgs. Still, if Georgia can be victorious without them, it’s safer to let them heal.
Tykee Smith should be ready to go, Kenny McIntosh is a game-time decision, Jalen Carter has that ankle situation going on but very well could see more time on the field, and Arian Smith will travel. Still, it’s unknown if he will actually play on Saturday. He dressed out for Kent State but didn’t take any snaps.
The Dawgs have talent, but getting some of these players back would make the squad that much better.
Georgia heads to Missouri to take on the Tigers with most of its weapons healthy and ready to earn that second SEC victory. However, Missouri has nothing to lose and home-field advantage, so it’ll be interesting to see how this night game will play out between these two SEC East teams. Will the Dawgs shake off that sloppy game against Kent State, or will it be another fight?
