Georgia football welcomes its first SEC home opponent to Athens this season, and it’s the Auburn Tigers for the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. While Auburn shouldn’t give the Dawgs too much of a test, Georgia has to come out with a massive chip on its shoulder to beat the breaks off the Tigers. No more sloppy play — it’s time to shut down Auburn and move on to the next game.

After its second sloppy win in a row, Georgia dropped to No.2 on the AP Top 25 Poll. That drop in the poll should have happened because the Dawgs did not look like the top team in the country.

Georgia looks to stay undefeated, and this game needs the Dawgs to dominate. Auburn thinks it has a chance against the Dawgs, but the Tigers haven’t won in Athens since 2005. The Dawgs must push down the throttle and keep it down until the SEC West Tigers quit on the field. Georgia knows how to do that against Auburn, and today is no different.

As long as Georgia does its job, it will be a blowout win as they remind everyone who the Dawgs are.

Georgia Football Injury Report vs. Auburn Tigers for Week 6:

The Dawgs are fairly banged up with Jalen Carter not going against Auburn. That front seven will get tested against Auburn without him, but there is still talent there. He has a knee injury that could keep him out for a couple of weeks.

However, Arian Smith should be back for this game, which will help. AD Mitchell could go, but that is likely a game-time decision. He dressed for Missouri but did not play. The Dawgs may not see him today, either.

Nyland Green still has hamstring issues and will not play. Arik Gilbert has an undisclosed situation, and no one really knows if he will play.

Georgia has some guys hurt they need back, so it’ll help the Dawgs down the stretch.

Georgia Football vs. Auburn Tigers odds and betting pick for Week 6:

The current odds have Georgia as 28.5-point favorites over Auburn on FanDuel. This spread is large, considering it’s an SEC game, but Georgia may cover.

Fan Duel has the spread odds currently listing Auburn at -115, so you can bet $100 and win $86.96. As for Georgia, their spread odds now sit at -105, so if you bet $100, you would also bring home $95.24.

The money line for Georgia is -7,000 and +2000 for Auburn. If you made a $100 bet on Georgia for the money line, the payout would be $1.43, and if you made the same bet on Auburn, it would be $2,000.

The current over/under line is 49.5 points, sitting at -110 for both the Dawgs and the Tigers. If you bet $100 on Georgia to cover the over or on Auburn to cover the under, it would be a $90.91 winning ticket.

That over/under line is just right for this game because the Dawgs and Tigers usually put up points against each other. Auburn could score some points, the Dawgs are a four-quarter team, so it would be a good bet to make. The spread and Georgia have not been in sync lately, but if the Dawgs come out red hot, the spread could happen. However, that bet is a risky one, so trying the under/over may be the way to bet.
