Georgia football is coming off a strong win where the Dawgs won a blowout over Auburn 42-10, The Dawgs got back on track against the Tigers, but at the same time, there is still work to do. Georgia looked far from perfect, but at the same time, this game against Auburn showed the Dawgs they could tote the rock.

The Dawgs haven’t run the ball that well in over a year, so seeing them take it 292 yards against Auburn felt good.

Georgia will have its second straight SEC home game, as the Dawgs will take on Vanderbilt on Saturday at 3:30 p.m on SEC Network. Thankfully it’s another afternoon game and not a nooner to save the fans’ sanity.

Last week against Auburn doesn’t mean the Dawgs are back to their ways. Instead, it shows that this team has a ton of talent. Georgia needs to keep taking it week by week. The Dawgs need to shut out the noise of being No.1 in the country and focus on growing each week. Georgia has to continue to eliminate self-inflicted wounds, get that passing game back in order and, as cliche as it sounds, just win.

It’s Week 7, and the Dawgs should have an intense week against Vanderbilt, but those Commodores are gritty this year and will not just lay down and lose 62-0 like last season.

Georgia Football vs. Vanderbilt Commodores odds for Week 7:

The Dawgs come into this game as 38.5-point favorites over Vanderbilt on FanDuel. The spread line has Georgia and Vandy at -110. So if you bet $100 on the spread in Georgia or the Commodores’ favor, you’d win $90.91.

Fan Duel doesn’t have the money line odds for Georgia and Vandy right now, but odds change throughout the week, so it’ll be something to watch.

The over/under is 57.5 points, with the under at -106 and the over at -114. So if betting on the over/under is more your speed, throwing down $100 on the over would result in an $87.72 victory, and if you throw the same bet down on the under, it would be a $94.34 winning ticket.

Georgia Football vs. Vanderbilt Commodores prediction for Week 7:

Last week, Georgia covered the spread against Auburn, but this 38.5-point one this week seems a bit steep. Vanderbilt is no pushover this year, and the Commodores will be ready for the Dawgs. Taking the under and maybe the points would be the best bet here, but who knows, Georgia’s offense may wake up and absolutely dominate Vandy.

The under/over bet seems to be the best one because that spread is too high — way too big.

Georgia football should see win No. 7 against Vanderbilt, but it could be tougher than recent years suggest. The Dawgs need another big win to gain confidence heading into the bye week and before the toughest part of their schedule begins. Georgia wins 45-10.
