Georgia football teased the world with its next great running back against Auburn as Branson Robinson finally got unleashed. He was an animal against the Tigers, and his flashes of greatness show that we have no idea how good he will be. Robinson is a special kind of athlete and is the next great installment to RBU.

Against the Tigers, he led the Dawgs with 12 carries for 98 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 8.2 yards a touch, which means every time he touched the football, it was almost for a first down. He was helping move the chains nearly every time he took a snap.

Robinson is the next star at Georgia, and while it may be early to say that, the taste we got against Auburn should make all of the fans drool in excitement.

Georgia football running back Branson Robinson is a stud on the field.

Glimpsing at what social media had to say about Robinson’s performance last Saturday told us how excited Dawg fans are for that young man. He and Daijun Edwards transformed the running game for the Dawgs and were two of the biggest difference makers.

His vision, the low center of gravity, and how he runs the football reminds us all of Nick Chubb. Robinson got compared to Chubb a few times, and what he showed on Saturday — it’s hard not to say they run similarly.

light. Must Read. Georgia football is really the biggest threat in the SEC

However, those are big shoes to fill for the freshman running back, and the way Georgia runs the ball these days, it doesn’t set up for numbers like Chubb produced. If he continues to run the way he did against Auburn, the Dawgs might have to rethink how they choose to use their running backs.
