Georgia football hosted ESPN GameDay ahead of the Tennessee matchup, and all morning long, it was about how good the Vols were. The Dawgs got very little love from the ESPN crew until guest picker Luke Bryan showed up to make the picks.

David Pollack gave a little love, and there were some sideways remarks during GameDay, but this disrespect is okay with us. We will say that Bear picked the Dawgs, but everyone else just gave them no chance. The Dawgs know what kind of team they have; even if no one gives them a chance, there is always one.

Georgia is the defending national champion with a young, scrappy defense and an offense that averages 41 points a game. However, when you ask the media talking heads, Tennessee is unstoppable. Let the media ride Tennesseee’s coattails because the Dawgs don’t need that kind of love.

The Dawgs already know that they have what it takes to win, and they don’t care if anyone believes in them or not.

Georgia football gets no love from the ESPN College GameDay crew.

Desmond Howard quickly picked the Vols, and then Kirk Herbstreit made this speech about picking Florida and Alabama over the Vols and who Tennessee ended up winning, so he went with the Vols. Is that reverse psychology or just silliness — it’s nonsense. Pat McAfee tricked Bryan into thinking he would pick the Dawgs by singing one of his songs about rain, but he ended up selecting the Vols.

After calling the Dawgs earlier this morning, McAfee went with everyone else, which felt disrespectful. None of the Dawgs care, but the fans do, and after a week full of trash talk, we’re glad everyone went with the Vols.

Bryan brought Hobnail boots to the stage, and he may or may not have been a touch tipsy. He went with the Dawgs and said they were going to crush the Vols’ dreams and step on their face with a hobnail boot. Then he said, “Dawgs win big,” and the crowd went nuts.

It’s good to see someone cares about the Dawgs and thinks they have a chance, but at the same time, it’s a good thing no one gave Georgia any credit. With GameDay going all Vols, it’ll make it that much sweeter when the Dawgs do beat the Vols.
