Georgia football won’t see a home night game for the 2022 season, which sucks, but when you close out against Georgia Tech, a noon kickoff is a perfect time. The SEC announced that week’s schedule on Monday, and it seems the Dawgs got the best deal.

After the Georgia Tech game, the Dawgs will take on LSU in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, and this noon game gives them even more time to prepare. Head coach Kirby Smart welcomes a noon game against someone like Georgia Tech because they can get it over with and watch the rest of the SEC finish the rivalry weekend. It’ll allow them to get the regular season over without waiting around all day to play like LSU will have to against Texas A&M.

We’ve complained about kickoff times a couple of times this season, but you know there is a first for everything. This game against Georgia Tech is ideal for the noon kickoff time, and there is no denying that.

Georgia football will close out the regular season with a nooner against the Yellow Jackets.

In the final regular season game, Georgia doesn’t need any bells or whistles, just the game against their in-state rival. Clean Old Fashioned Hate is good at noon for Georgia fans because the win can come that much faster.

Georgia has plenty on its plate, and if they can avoid a cold night game against Tech, the Dawgs will gladly do so. Of course, our complaints from earlier in the season are irrelevant, but it still would have been nice to light up Sanford at night just once as the defending national champions. However, we’re not complaining because the Dawgs are 10-0 and looking to go undefeated for the second straight regular season, and that is much better than a night game.

The Dawgs will head to Kentucky this weekend for their final SEC matchup, as Georgia is a heavy favorite over the Wildcats. There will be no looking ahead to Tech or the SEC Championship — just focus on the Wildcats and delivering another loss to one of Georgia’s SEC East foes.
