Georgia football embraced the cold and beat Kentucky 16-6, and while they didn’t cover the spread, it was a two-score win for the Dawgs. Up next is the final regular season game against Georgia Tech for some Clean Old Fashioned Hate. The Dawgs will host the Yellow Jackets, who is coming off a massive upset win over UNC.

Senior Day for Georiga will be special, as it usually is, as we’re saying goodbye to a group of guys that helped lead the Dawgs to its first national championship in 41 years. It’ll be bittersweet because so many of these guys have become fan favorites, but it’s part of the process, and they’re leaving one heck of a legacy. This group could wind up going back-to-back and possibly win an SEC Championship.

Head coach Kirby Smart will have his guys focused on Georgia Tech, and there will be no looking ahead. Will the Dawgs have a similar game plan to the Kentucky game? Yes, Georgia will be pretty conservative, but that’s okay because winning is the only thing that matters, along with staying healthy.

Georgia Tech will be confident, but at the same time, the Yellow Jackets do not have a similar team to Georgia. The Dawgs are far superior, and as long as nothing disastrous happens, it should result in a good team win for the good guys.

Georgia Football vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets odds for Game 12:

The Dawgs come into their final regular season matchup as 35.5-point favorites over the Yellow Jackets on FanDuel. The spread line has Georgia and Georgia Tech at -110. So if you bet $100 on Georgia to cover the spread or think Tech covers, you’d win $90.91.

Fan Duel doesn’t currently have any money line odds for this game, but check back with the site to see because sometimes it changes.

The over/under is 49.5 points, with the over at -105 and the under at -115 for the Dawgs’ final home game of the season. So if betting on the over/under is more your speed, throwing down $100 on the under would result in you winning around $86.96, and if you throw $100 on the cover, it will earn you about $95.24.

Georgia Football vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets prediction for Game 12:

Georgia didn’t cover the spread against Kentucky last week, and if the Dawgs play as conservative this week, picking Tech to cover the spread may be the best bet here. The under/over seems high because Georgia will try to get in and out of this game without any silly shenanigans.

However, Georgia beat Georgia Tech 45-0 last year, so this year’s matchup could result in a similar outcome. While it would be great to send Tech packing like that, it feels like the Dawgs are going to score but not get too cute with it.

Georgia wants this game over as fast as it starts, so how do they do that? By running the ball. Look for the rush attack to take charge in this game and run out the clock.

Now I think you’ll see starting quarterback Stetson Bennett throwing some dimes to Ladd McConkey, Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington. Still, I think the run game will be the feature piece — save the explosiveness for Atlanta and the SEC Championship Game.

The Dawgs will not overlook the Yellow Jackets because Smart knows that something crazy could happen any given week. Look at South Carolina taking down Tennessee and the other countless chaotic weeks we’ve had in this 2022 season. Georgia will honor its seniors but get in and out of this matchup quickly and efficiently.

Georgia wins 35-0.
