Today’s the day that Georgia football fights for another SEC Championship as the Dawgs take on the LSU Tigers at 4 p.m. ET. While both teams are known for their passion, this season, Georgia has a point to prove after what happened last year in this game.

Winning an SEC Championship game takes physicality, focus, and a little luck, but most of all, it takes a whole lot of heart. Georgia wants this game so badly, and you could feel that need in the air all week. Something is buzzing around this program, and it’s not like it was last year — this group has not let anything bother them this week. They are on a mission.

This SEC Championship means something to the Dawgs, and of course, it does to LSU too, but this game is the moment Georgia shows the world it is taking control. The Dawgs have the level of heart you need to win the title. Maybe LSU does too, but it’s hard to suggest that the Tigers have more than Georgia.

Georgia football has the heart to win it all, but first, it’ll help the Dawgs win an SEC title.

The Dawgs have to come out with a purpose, and they cannot let off the gas until the final whistle blows. LSU is the last team to beat Georgia dominantly, and while Joey Burrow isn’t on the Bayou Bengals anymore, the Dawgs want revenge.

That revenge is where the heart comes into place, too — the Dawgs want to snap this losing streak to LSU. Head coach Kirby Smart will have his guys ready, but you can’t teach heart. You can try and get your guys to buy in, but it isn’t always the easiest thing to do. However, Smart has gotten this group to buy in and want this SEC Championship title.

Most of them were part of last year’s team that fell short, and they want to leave their own legacy. The Dawgs can do that by winning the SEC Championship. This group is confident and should be because they are ready for this battle. Their legacy starts today and should end in a big Georgia victory.
