Georgia Football: When is the Heisman Trophy being presented?
It’s that time of year, Georgia Football fans! The Heisman Trophy presentation is almost upon the college football world and hopefully, this year, it’ll be a certain quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs. This year, all four 2022 Heisman Trophy finalists are all quarterbacks.
The finalists are C.J. Stroud of Ohio State, Caleb Williams of South California, Max Duggan of TCU, and of course, Stetson Bennett of Georgia. All four quarterbacks have put up some solid seasons for their respective colleges but in the end, only one can earn being this year’s Heisman Trophy winner.
This year’s Heisman Trophy presentation will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 8 PM ET. The event will be televised on ESPN as here’s to hoping that Bennett wins it all to add even more great news to an already amazing season Georgia is enjoying.
The Heisman Trophy will be presented on Saturday, December 10, 2022
It’s been quite a while since the last time a player of the Bulldogs won the Heisman Trophy. So far in franchise history, Georgia has only had two Heisman Trophy winners. The first was all the way back in 1942 and won by running back Frank Sinkwich.
Then it wasn’t until 40 years later that running back Herschel Walker won it in 1982. If Bennett wins a Heisman Trophy this year, he’d be the third to ever do it in Georgia history and also be the first quarterback.
Hopefully, everything falls into place and Bennett beats out the other finalists. It won’t be easy as these decisions are made by 870 media voters, comprised of 145 voters from each of the six regions, previous Heisman Trophy winners, and even fans through their Premier Partner Nissan. If there is anyone that deserves to win this award and be forever known as the most outstanding player in college football this season, it’s #13.
