Georgia football is finally done with the honors, outside the Joe Moore award, so the Dawgs can now focus on Ohio State for the College Football Playoff semifinal. Enough of the distractions — it’s time to focus on the main thing and win another national championship.

Of course, Early Signing Day will be here next week, but that shouldn’t be that much of a distraction for the Dawgs. They hosted a few official visits this past weekend and made some strides there, but Georgia recruits year-round —  it won’t distract the lead-up to the semifinal.

The Dawgs have a team of guys ready for war and know they must stay focused ahead of this game. Despite this last week featuring a lot of distractions with the awards, Georgia can now push that all behind and stop caring about individual awards. Now it’s time for team focus and making history. Let’s look at two of the biggest news things to happen over the last day or so.

Georgia football offers a transfer portal receiver.

We touched on a few guys in the transfer portal that Georgia could be interested in bringing into the program. The Dawgs have offered Kent State wide receiver, Dante Cephas. He is one of the receivers that challenged Georgia’s secondary in the game earlier this season. Now he is in the portal, and Georgia is smart to reach out and offer. Cephas is a bright young man with a bright future on the football field. Under Bryan McClendon at Georgia, he could become an even better receiver.

Against the Dawgs, he had three catches for 25 yards. On the season, Cephas has 48 catches for 744 yards and three touchdowns, but the year before, he had 82 passes for 1,240 yards and nine scores. This guy knows how to make plays, and his stats show it.

Georgia could land him, or he may go somewhere else, but the Dawgs would love to have him on the roster. A playmaker like Cephas would be a great addition to this receiver room.

Georgia football quarterback Stetson Bennett has the motivation for the playoffs.

Starting quarterback Stetson Bennett has made it loud and clear he is all in on the playoffs. He posted on his Instagram with some of the most iconic sports moments with the caption, “Fun week. Real season starts now.” That post sent chills down our spine and has kind of gone viral. It shows he is dialed in and ready to make more history for the Dawgs.

He had to focus on the Heisman Trophy stuff last week, but now it’s all business. Bennett knows what kind of focus and determination it’ll take to win another national championship. He will be ready for Ohio State and show the world how they doubted him. Bennett shouldn’t care anymore about what people think because he is already a legend, but if he can go back-to-back with that SEC Championship under his belt — it’ll be even more iconic.

Must Read. Stetson Bennett doesn’t need a Heisman to be a legend. light

Georgia football is all in on recruiting and getting ready for the playoff semifinal against Ohio State. Now that the Mailman is locked in and ready, the Dawgs could be on their way to another memorable finish for the second straight season.
